Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Meeting & Greeting on arrival at NJP Railway Station /Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) Queen of the Hills. On arrival check in to hotel, free evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Early Morning at 4:00 am drive to Tiger hill to watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs), free evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Optional Evening (4PM - 6 PM) Toy Train Joy Ride can be done on this day at an additional cost. (Tickets can be booked online trough IRCTC {From - DJ To - DJRZ} & cab waiting charges would be applicable if required)
After breakfast drive to Mirik(Alt 5900 Ft) – 45kms in 2hrs (Each way). - Enjoy boating and horse riding, en-route stop over at the India - Nepal boarder, visit Pashupati market on own expense. Free evening (walk to Chowrasta& Mall Road suggested), Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, Tour ends.
