Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Perched on a ridge above the Teesta River, it’s home to colonial-era buildings like MacFarlane Memorial Church, named after a Scottish missionary. South, the hilltop Durpin Monastery, or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang, contains sacred Buddhist scriptures. Deolo Park has landscaped gardens and offers views of the town and surrounding hills.
Gangtok has an amazing view of mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world. Also like everything around it, Gangtok is abundant in natural beauty and has various natural attractions such as the Tsomgo Lake, Ban Jhakri falls, Tashi viewpoint and more.
Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Meeting & Greeting on arrival at NJP Railway Station / BagdograAirport & transfer to Kalimpong (4091 ft.). On arrival check in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
After Breakfast half day tour of Kalimpong (Starts 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM) Visit Deolo Hill, Golf Garden, Durpin Dara Hills & Pine view Nurseries. Afternoon transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.), Capital of Sikkim. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,312 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms from Gangtok city each way (Starts 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals only at an additional cost & documents required 7 days prior to departure for Nathula pass. Please note Nathula Pass permits are issued on the day of travel only as per availability and clubbed with other group, once the permit is issued the amount will be non refundable.
This morning (Starts 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM) for a half day trip of Gangtok city covering Bakthang Falls, Gonjang Monastery, Tashi View Point, Plant Conservatory & Ganesh Tok. Afternoon drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) Queen of the Hills. On arrival check in to hotel, free evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Early Morning at 4:00 am drive to Tiger hill to watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs), free evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Optional Evening (4PM - 6 PM) Toy Train Joy Ride can be done on this day at an additional cost. (Tickets can be booked online trough IRCTC {From - DJ To - DJRZ} & cab waiting charges would be applicable if required)
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, Tour ends.
The Most fascinating place in India and of the world, situated in the northeast region of India, and we can say collectively the State of Northeast – Assam, Meghalaya, Arunchal Pradesh, Sikkim and North Bengal (Darjeeling).
